Fall 2014 Fashion Trends

Hello lovelies,

Stylediarybyosy is finally ready for fall and the only times there will be a post about summer in the next six months will be on a throwback post. My last post was a goodbye summer post and this is a Welcome to Fall (Autumn to some) post.
I have been in so many stores in the past month (just window shopping though lol) and i have noticed certain trends in almost everyone of them so here are some of the trends -

First up is the Plaid trend.
I specially love this trend. Plaid is so versatile and fashionable. You can rock it with basically anything. In styling some of the pieces here, i decided to focus on making it a student oriented style. Creating this gave me some inspirations for how i want my school fall wardrobe to look like. So needless to say, i might be recreating some of this looks on myself.

Next up is the Shirt Dress and Shift Dress Trend
This group is filled with items on my wishlist. I want some of these dresses so bad. These pieces are great transition pieces: from summer to fall and even to winter. all you have to do is to add some leggings or skinny jeans or some thigh high boots and you are safe in the winter. These can be worn casually with some flats or sneakers for a game night or they can be worn with heels for a more chic look for a lunch or dinner date.

This final picture contains different trends so i will take them one at a time
Trend #3 Top set:- The crop jackets and blazers: These one trend i am not sure i will wear but some of the blazers look so cute that i think you just might catch me in one sometime lol. This trend dominated some of the runways during the just concluded New York Fashion Week.

Trend #4 Middle set:- The cut out shoes(mainly booties): First, i have to say I am in LOVE with these shoes. There as so many styles and they are so cute. I really do not know what to write about them. I wore a wedge cut out today and i felt it's trendy effect on my whole outfit. They are very simple and so stylish. I am aware that a version of them have been around for a long time but what i specially love about these ones is that they have chunky heels and most of them have cap toes perfect for the fall.

Trend #5 bottom set:- The animal print (what i call jungle fashion): We all know this trend is not new but i added it to this list because even as old as it is, it has managed to stay valuable in everyone's wardrobe. Every time i clear out my closet to update my pieces to suit the new season, my animal print skirts and shoes always manage to stay unmoved even though some times they get pushed to the back of the closet. I just added some of the pieces i selected here to my to buy list and hopefully i will get them soon.

So, i know you might not like all of these trends or might have one you are head over heels in love with or you might know a trend that i did not mention, please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below. As always, i look forward to reading your veiws.
Thanks for visiting,

Goodbye summer 2014

It's throwback thursday and i decided to put this post up to officially say my own goodbye Summer and hello Fall.
This is an outfit i wore sometime back. I have a great love affair with florals and bright colors and even in the fall, i will still find a way to add them to my wardrobe.

It was love at first sight with this 2 piece matching set from JcPenny. I was going through the store during one of my many window shopping trips earlier in the year.

I think this was the last time i wore these shoes this summer, i had to clean them and put them on  the shelf before i get sued for abuse. Everyone has that one or two pairs of shoes that needs a break lol.

No post is complete without my upclose face shot :).

Thanks for visiting and as always, i would love to read your comments.

On to the "nude" trend

Hello dearies,
I am glad to finally get some minutes to share a new post on here and I will try to never be away for this long again.
School is back in session and i was also working on adjusting to my new schedule at my job. I am pretty excited about this new school year because with every semester that comes and goes, i get closer to being a licensed professional :).

No matter how gorgeous and comfortable the heels are, the flats always hold a special spot lol
Posing with Rita Ora's picture(since i got there just as she was leaving) and the sample i got from the event.

With my sister @vivanaija and some cool photo-bombers lol

Shine bright

"Mirror, mirror on the wall, which blazer is the brightest in the land?"
"Oh thou Stradivarius floral blazer are the brightest in all lands"
Random, I know lol. Just know I am in love with this blazer.

This outfit was an all day outfit. I knew I will be out the whole day so I had to wear something that can work for a casual meeting, a dash into sephora and a youth event at church.

I can't even tell you all I had to do to get this hair like this lol. #naturalhair chic
Decided to show my basic white tee too.
Outfit details :
White tee - Wet seal
Jeans - Levis (Macys)
Blazer - Stradivarius (Thrifted)
Shoes - Target ( Mossimo )
Thanks for visiting dearies and please leave a comment and share :)

Natural hair wash and go

I just realized that this post has been in my drafts for so long so rather than delete it, i decided to just post it anyway. If you follow me on instagram you will see these pics from weeks back.
There was nothing extra done to the hair, it was a very simple wash n go process. I used the design Essential samples i had gotten from a lady at a beauty store. She had given them to me because she loved my hair. She spoke highly of the product line that i decided to try it the very next day. I was not disappointed. After the wash and conditioning, my hair felt extremely soft and detangled - for ladies with 4c hair you will understand my joy at that moment.
The products i used were
Honey Crème Moisture Retention Shampoo
Natural Moisturizing Conditioner
Natural Almond and Avocado Detangling Leave-In Conditioner
These can be found in some walgreens, target and designessentials.com
